Some people use this flexibility to gain experience in various departments, which is particularly helpful if you’re unsure about the specialty you want to pursue.
However, if you have a good idea of where you want to focus, you can spend your entire clinical experience in one department or specialty. This is made possible by our longstanding partnerships with hospitals and clinics around the Greece.
We offer an enormous range of healthcare settings, including different types of hospitals, departments, specialties, and sub-specialties. You can choose from a wide range of specific options, such as plastic and reconstructive surgery, gastroenterology, neurosurgery, pediatrics, urology, ENT, anesthetics, orthopedics, OBG, internal medicine, ophthalmology, cardiology and cardiothoracic, dermatology, and more. You can even choose to specialize in a sub-specialty and spend your entire placement in that area.
Despite focusing on a specific area of medicine, you’ll still have the same level of flexibility that has made us America’s leading provider of medical internships in Greece.
During your placement, you’ll be accompanied by our staff who maintain strong relationships with hospital staff, including hospital directors. This means that if you decide you want to change departments while on placement, chances are you’ll be able to. However, this will depend on the duration of your internship and the availability of space in the department you’re interested in. Your placement will be planned and organized before you travel, but if you need to make adjustments while you’re in Greece, your in-country team will be there to assist you. Once you’ve registered for your placement, you’ll have a video call with one of our consultants to discuss your clinical interests and background. You’ll receive more specific information about the options available to you during this call.
