Volunteering in Greece is a perfect opportunity to discover a beautiful part of Europe, enjoy the white sandy beaches, and support a good cause simultaneously. The ancient ruins, endless coastlines, great cuisine, and friendly locals will make your stay worthwhile.
This program offers an amazing opportunity for suitable applicants who are 18 years and over to work alongside qualified medical professionals and gain first-hand insight into the global healthcare system. It is open to those with experience and/or education in the field of medicine, as well as med-school and pre-med students. Volunteers on this project will need at least an intermediate understanding of English to communicate effectively with patients and staff. Naturally, all applicants must also have a genuine willingness to help, show drive and initiative, and bring a positive ‘can-do’ attitude. If this sounds like you, we want you on the team!
This project is available year-round, and programs start every SATURDAY. Volunteers can choose to participate for periods ranging from ONE week to THREE weeks.
This project is based in a community and involves various tasks that address the issues faced by local public educational institutions in different areas. As an international volunteer, you will assist with all aspects of patient care including general care and companionship, dispensing medications, and feeding. You will also help local educational institutions that are usually understaffed, and provide local children with the opportunity for a better and safer school environment while also giving them the chance to meet people from different cultures.
This program will help you become more passionate about your major and boost your career with international experience. You will live and volunteer in a beautiful Greek city or island, assist local educational institutions, and bring smiles to the locals. During your free time, you can explore unique medieval villages and enjoy crystal-clear waters.
You will receive a certificate of participation upon completing your program, as well as letters of recommendation. This program offers a chance to experience the Greek culture and create unforgettable memories with your fellow participants.

Healthcare placements are available for people who are not licensed and who are still completing their training. These volunteer projects are generally located in specialized living facilities and involve assisting elderly patients or working with children and other patients.
Advanced medical placements are available for licensed professionals or students in the last two years of medical school. These are volunteer placements that are offered in hospitals and refugee camps. As an international volunteer, you can work alongside doctors, nurses, therapists, and other medical professionals.
Your responsibilities and type of work will depend on the placement available and what is happening at the project site. Depending on your medical experience and language skills, you may be required to shadow a doctor or nurse, assist with general check-ups, run medical campaigns, triage, take blood pressure and other vital signs, organize patient records, prepare materials and equipment, and assist during mealtimes.
