The Philotimo Med Winter Programs are the ultimate opportunity for aspiring doctors from all backgrounds and nationalities. We offer six specialized programs designed for premed and medical students, as well as those in nursing, pharmacy, dental, psychology, and volunteer work. Whether you’re looking for hands-on learning, international internships, or real-world research experience, we’ve got something for everyone.
Our programs take place in two amazing cities in Greece—Athens and Larissa—giving you the chance to immerse yourself in both the vibrant capital and the historic charm of Thessaly. You’ll gain practical experience in state-of-the-art facilities, including the University Hospital and Private Hospital in Athens, along with access to the top-tier research labs at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Thessaly in Larissa.
Expect full English programs, electives, and cultural excursions to explore the heart of Greece. Plus, every day is packed with structured, supervised activities, from medical theory and patient diagnostics to hands-on research. Program Schedule
Monday to Friday:
- 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM: In the morning, students work in their chosen medical departments, gaining valuable hands-on experience and shadowing healthcare professionals.
- 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM: In the afternoon, students engage in meaningful projects at local shelters or community centers, contributing to the well-being of the community.
Weekends:
- Students enjoy excursions to historical landmarks, offering a chance to explore Greece’s rich culture and history.
- There are also opportunities to participate in creative activities, play sports, relax, and spend quality time with new friends, creating unforgettable memories.

The Philotimo Dental Shadowing and Internship program in Athens offers aspiring dentists the chance to gain hands-on experience in a modern dental clinics. Pharmacy Internship
The Philotimo Pharmacy Shadowing and Internship Program in Larissa, Greece, provides aspiring pharmacists with hands-on experience in both clinical and community pharmacy settings. You’ll work alongside experienced pharmacists, observing medication management, patient consultations, and drug therapy optimization.
Volunteer in Greece
The Philotimo Med Volunteer Program, offered by Humanity Greece in Athens, gives you the chance to make a real difference while gaining valuable healthcare experience.
